TAMassociati’s project “Casa Azul” at the “Designing Peace” exhibition – New York
The exhibition “Designing Peace” will run from June 10, 2022, to September 4, 2023 at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York. It will explore how design can support peace by designing safe and healthy environments with an ethical approach. How to address the causes of conflict, and helping transitions from instability to peace.
“Casa Azul is a system of design actions that illustrate a new approach toward vulnerable and mobile populations. The Casa Azul incorporates culture, beauty and dignity as key elements for physical and virtual spaces dedicated to refugees, migrants from Venezuela and the communities hosting them. An ethical approach to humanitarian design.”
We are grateful to the Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs Fordham University, the IOM – UN Migration, and the Office of the DG’s Special Envoy for the Venezuelan Situation for working with us in this joint initiative.
